Overview
Judhoor is our own Arabic word puzzle for iPhone and Android. Players swipe letters on a wheel to fill a crossword grid, and words that share a root (ك‑ت‑ب: كتب، كاتب، مكتب، كتاب) complete a root family, a mechanic that only works in Arabic. It is live on the App Store, with Google Play in closed testing.

The challenge
Many Arabic word games are adapted from English formats, and it shows: correct answers rejected because of a hamza or a ta marbuta, dialect words, and numbers that flip under right-to-left layouts. We wanted a game that starts from Arabic itself, plays fully offline, and never ships a level that has not been verified as solvable.

The solution
Judhoor is built in Flutter with plain widgets and CustomPainter, without a game engine. All 1,000 levels are generated offline, checked for solvability and then frozen, so a shipped level never changes. Answers are normalised for the forms of hamza, ta marbuta and alef maqsura, and a list of 83,214 accepted words means any real Arabic word from the wheel counts as a bonus find.
Around the campaign sit a daily challenge with a calendar, a daily fortune wheel, achievements, rotating daily tasks and a collection of 218 root families. The game needs no internet and no account and shows no ads; progress stays on the device, and daily reminders are scheduled locally.
